Creating your own.rupi files for importing Places to Sygic GPS Navigation Notice: Importing POIs onto the maps of the following countries is not currently possible: Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, Russia, Spain, United Kingdom. This notice will be removed when this restriction is resolved in a future Sygic app version. When you don’t find a pre-made.upi/.rupi file online with the Places you wanted to add to Sygic, or you just prefer to make your own unique list of Places, this article will describe how to create a.rupi file yourself. You will first need to create an input file in either.txt or.csv format, and then use that in the POI Convertor program to turn it into a.rupi file which our app will be able to import. Please note: this is the most challenging guide on our help page. There are a lot of technical details, so importing self-created.rupi files into Sygic is an extra option intended for more advanced, tech-savvy users. Creating input files for the convertor The input file is where you will fill out the information about the list of Places you are importing.
For each Place, its parameters must be arranged in the following order: longitude latitude name address phone fax web email. The first 3 parameters are mandatory (longitude, latitude, name).
It is not necessary to include the other parameters (address phone fax web email), but you need to leave an empty space for each parameter that you skip if you want to include just some of them. To create an input text file (with.txt extension). Create an empty.txt file. In the first line of the text file, type “delimeter = ' without the quote marks (careful, not the capital letter “i”, but the symbol “ ” – vertical line). This specifies the symbol, which will be used to separate the various parameters of each Place. Enter all Places, one per line:.

Lastly, save the file in one of the supported encoding formats (ASCII, UTF8 or UNICODE) Example file: To create an input table file (.csv file). Open Microsoft Excel. In the first cell, write “delimiter=,” without the quote marks. In the same column, enter your Places, one per line.
Enter all parameters into the same cell, separated by the “,” comma sign. Do not put parameters into different cells in separate columns. Tap on the import option and the app will start displaying the list of places from the.rupi file on the map. Troubleshooting “Nothing to import” error message when using the POI converter This usually occurs when you create a.csv file, but instead of putting the data for each Place in one cell, you put the various parameters (Longitude, Latitude, etc.) in separate columns. Please put all the data for each Place in one cell separated by commas. Also ensure that the correct delimiter was setup at the beginning of the input file 'Import failed' error message after app launch and I confirm the import This error message appears, when one or more of the following conditions are met:.
The most common one is the swap of longitude latitude. Make sure it is longitude latitude, not latitude longitude. The image you use for your custom Places is in the wrong bit format.
Make sure you use either 8bit or 32bit.bmp format. You are trying to import Places from multiple countries, rather than from one country. This kind of import is not supported, please separate the Places so each.rupi file contains locations in only one country.
Can I set an audible warning for my custom places Unfortunately, you cannot. This feature may become available in the future though. Known issues Since version 17.1, imported places do not appear among search results, and are not available in the list of Place categories which you can open through the Search screen. When you install the apk it creates the file com.sygic.aura in Android / Data in the internal memory, when you open the file explorer you have an Android folder, it is there. Then when you launch sygic it asks you if you want it to be on the internal memory or on your external sdcard if of course you have an sd external card, if you choose the sd external card you will have 2 files com.sygic.aura, One in the internal memory and one in the sd external card, according to what you chose you put the maps either in the internal or external memory. A solution for the cards, intall “gps navigation” which is on Google player store, (it is exactly the same as Sygic) it proposes to you the first launch to choise on card internal or external, choose internal Download the cards of your Choice, Then go to the internal map and open the “BeonRoad” folder and you will find the “maps” folder with the map you download, copy it and paste it into the “maps” folder of Sygic, these are the same maps.

Hello, I downloaded both.apk and.zip files, then installed apk and unzip folder “Sygic-v16.2.14-www.ReXdl.com” to “Redmi Note 3 Interna pohrana storage emulated 0″. When I run application I got notification”Download failed because the resources could not.” (I can’t see the whole message). Also there is a message in application “Downloading resource file from GooglePlay failed”. When I go to App info there I can see that total storage of this app is only 50 MB, so I guess that I didn’t put folder in right place. Can somebody help me, please?
